Samsung officially released One UI 6.0 early this morning, which includes Samsung’s own Good Lock custom software that brings more customization features to the Z Flip 5, a new Quick Panel shortcut area, a new One UI Sans font, and software for editing videos called Samsung Studio.
One of the new features featured in One UI 6.0 is the Quick Panel shortcut area. However, this new Quick Panel in One UI 6.0 is very similar to the shortcut area appeared on Apple’s iOS, which is suprising.
This is the first time that Samsung has openly borrowed or been inspired by a feature from Apple’s iOS. In the past, it was usually iOS that took inspiration from Samsung’s features. It seems that the tables have turned this time.
In addition, Samsung’s new One UI Sans font is claimed to improve the readability of text within the phone, although whether this is effective or not may vary from person to person.
The new One UI 6 will also introduce a new software called Samsung Studio, allowing users to perform multi-layer video editing, enabling users to edit on the fly and add various layers, text, stickers, music, and more.
Current speculation that the Samsung One UI 6.0 will be arriving on the following devices:
